Translate Menu AI (hereinafter: "App") is created by Anna Zaripova (hereinafter: "we", "us" or "our").
This Privacy Policy is compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR 2016/679).

1. WHAT DATA DO WE COLLECT?
1.1 Automatically Collected Data
The App collects minimal technical data required to function:
- Device type and operating system version
- App version
- Network connection status
- Anonymous crash and error reports (if any)
We do not collect your precise location, advertising identifiers, or browsing history.
1.2 Menu Photos
When you scan a menu, the photo is transmitted over HTTPS to our secure backend server, processed by an AI service to identify dishes, and then immediately discarded. We do not store your photos.
1.3 Language Preference
Your selected output language is stored locally on your device only and never transmitted to our servers.
1.4 Subscription Data
If you purchase a Pro subscription, Apple processes the payment. We receive only an anonymised subscriber token via RevenueCat to verify your subscription status. We receive no payment details, name, or email.
1.5 No User Accounts
The App requires no sign-in or registration. We cannot identify you personally.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
Menu photo: AI dish identification - deleted after processing
Language setting: Display results in your chosen language
Subscription token: Unlock Pro features
Technical data: App stability and error diagnosis
We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data.
3. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Anthropic (AI processing)
Menu photos are sent to Anthropic's API for dish identification.

4. DATA SHARING
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties except as required to operate the services described in Section 3, or as required by law.
We may disclose data (a) as required by law or legal process, (b) to protect our rights or the safety of users, or (c) in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of company assets.
5. MANAGING YOUR DATA
5.1 You can stop all data collection by uninstalling the App using your device's standard uninstall process.
5.2 Because we do not store photos or maintain user accounts, there is typically no personal data on our servers to access, correct, or delete. For subscription-related data, contact RevenueCat or manage your subscription via Apple Account -> Subscriptions.
5.3 To request deletion of any data we may hold, contact us at tcrims@yandex.ru and we will respond within a reasonable time.
6. CHILDREN
6.1 The App is rated 4+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If a parent or guardian believes their child has provided data without consent, contact us at tcrims@yandex.ru and we will delete it promptly.
7. SECURITY
7.1 All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Our backend runs on Vercel, a SOC 2-certified cloud platform. Menu photos are never written to permanent storage. We limit access to technical data to authorized personnel only.
8. DATA RETENTION
8.1 Menu photos: deleted immediately after AI processing (within seconds).
8.2 Subscription token: retained by RevenueCat while your subscription is active.
8.3 Local preferences: stored on your device; deleted when you uninstall the App.
8.4 Technical/crash data: retained for up to 12 months for stability analysis, then deleted.
9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
9.1 We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect changes. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
